2010 WTC Tournament Information & Schedule

Information and Rules:

Scheduling of the tournaments due to weather changes etc. will be left open to the tournament chairperson.

Members may enter a tournament either by using the sign up sheet posted on the club bulletin board or by email to the tournament chairperson.

Tournament draws close on Thursdays at 6:00 pm

Commencements of tournaments begin at 10:00 am sharp.

Weekend tournaments which progress to Sundays also will start at 10:00 am
-
If a player does not show within 15 minutes of the agreed upon start of play, the player will be defaulted.

If a court is available and the participants agree play may start earlier on the second day.

Each entrant is to bring a new can of balls, with the winner taking the unused can.

All doubles tournaments are scheduled to be completed in one weekend.

Depending on the number of teams in the draw, this may require some combination of any of the following:

Some matches may have to be played on Friday evening

Teams will play twice in one day, both Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm or one hour after the first match.

Preference for tournament play begins at 10:00 am of the second day of the tournament.

Some different forms of scoring may be requested by the tournament chairperson

If you are signed up for a weekend tournament, plan to make time available.

Finals should be played on date specified in schedule of tournaments.

Members not participating in a tournament will find it difficult to get a court on the morning when the first rounds are played.
